HUNTER/GATHERER
THE (FE)MALE GAZE
Representations of women in illustrations, photographs and paintings from the past were typically made from a heterosexual male perspective, and, in many cases, that viewpoint continues. The photographs in “The (Fe)Male Gaze” focus on objects and scenes that comment on gender roles and stereotypes, misogyny, and objectification.
